Aging men’s best friend: the secret unlocked

Tongkat Ali (Eurycoma Longifolia) is an almost mythical plant only grown in southeast Asia.

It has traditionally been used as a safe & natural alternative to testosterone replacement therapy, which was confirmed by both The International Journal of Andrology1 and The Academic Journal of Phytotherapy Research2 as well.

A large meta-study published by the U.S. National Library of Medicine3 further validated this same fact, emphasising Tongkat Ali’s remarkable effect on overall male sexual health.

These studies show the Tongkat Ali benefits & results are indisputable, so big pharma would love nothing more but to cash in hard on this natural solution.

Why did they give up on it then, while a much smaller manufacturer succeeded?

And why are they so afraid of this solution that they try to completely hide Tongkat Ali from the general population, in particular from men over 35 for which it can work so well?

It’s because their tests not only confirmed what all the studies had already shown - that Tongkat Ali is a great natural solution to treat erectile dysfunction caused by low testosterone - but also because it worked even better than the initial studies had demonstrated.

That’s a major threat to the billions of dollars big pharma makes on blue pills and testosterone replacement therapies. Unless of course they could start selling the Tongkat Ali solution as well...

But they quickly discovered they couldn’t do it. And so did many other companies. Why?

Because Tongkat Ali cannot be produced in mass quantities while also keeping all its benefits intact.

There’s 4 very simple reasons for that, and all are equally important:

Tongkat Ali Root

First of all, only the Tongkat Ali root is effective. The leaves and the rest of the plant don’t provide any benefit at all. But if a company decides to grind the leaves and branches into pulp and sell that, they are technically allowed to say their product contains Tongkat Ali, which it does, but in reality the consumer is getting severely misled and might as well start licking on a random plant - don’t do that though.

It’s a well known fact that in order to be effective, the root needs to grow at least 10 years or longer. That’s a very long time indeed and as you can imagine a big hurdle for anyone wanting to produce Tongkat Ali in large quantities. Nobody likes to wait this long so corners are heavily being cut in this area as well, resulting in a lot of impotent Tongkat Ali flooding the market, deceiving the consumer and contributing to Tongkat Ali’s reputation decline.

China? Malaysia? Or Indonesia… ?

Then there’s also a wide variety in quality based on the country and region where the Tongkat Ali grows. The Tongkat from Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam is mostly bought up by China who then bulk export it to the United States and Europe, but unfortunately often using the shortcut tactics described previously - by not allowing the root to age 10 years, effectively making it completely impotent - or by grinding up the upper part of the plant into useless pulp, instead of only using the valuable root.

It is generally not recommended and a simple waste of money plus perhaps even unhealthy to consume Tongkat Ali that may have been altered in such a way, though it’s often very difficult to find out for a regular consumer, as the manufacturers are not required to disclose their true original source.

A country which does export their own Tongkat Ali directly to the US and EU is Malaysia, however there’s a significant health risk associated with the Malaysian version as the International Journal of Toxicology4 has proven that the Malaysian soil is often contaminated with mercury, and given the root will need to be in direct contact with the soil for at least 10 years, this may cause heavy metal poisoning for the consumer.

Needless to say it’s recommended to stay away from Malaysian ginseng, which is the nickname for Malaysian Tongkat Ali.

Then we are left with Indonesia. This is where we can still find the perfect and original combination of circumstances: no soil contamination and minimal corporate interference, thus allowing the root to properly age for the necessary 10 years so it can grow into its full potency.

Tongkat Ali Extract

The final piece of the puzzle is even if all above obstacles are avoided, still the end product can be useless when a manufacturer decides to water down the extract to maximize their profits.

Our lab analysis revealed that the extract should consist of at least a 100:1 ratio for it to be effective. This means that for every gram of Indonesian Tongkat Ali powder, at least 100 grams of raw source material needs to be used. This is often yet another area easily abused by those manufacturers who are out to make a quick buck off you.

What’s the solution?

Obtaining proper Tongkat Ali turns out to be a daunting task and can be a serious case of hit and miss. For nearly a decade we were not able to find the correct quality ingredients and ran into the exact same obstacles as described above.   • only the root is effective
  • this root needs to age at least 10 years
  • the Indonesian root is the only really safe one
